About us
Matthias and Renata lead Lorien’s wood industry transformation by combining their strengths. Matthias offers entrepreneurial expertise in finance and sustainable business scaling, while Renata brings a global network of partners and outstanding impact communications experience.
As co-founders, they unite innovation with purpose, driving Lorien’s mission to create positive impact through regenerative forestry.
Our Mission
Around the world, people are killing 500 trees per second, with 56% still coming from ancient forests, to produce short lived furniture. In this extraction process, we are also destroying the ecosystems of these forests, and releasing carbon.
Lorien’s Trees of the Future offer a sustainable way to solve this problem: our trees grow 10X faster than your average pine tree, and they grow back from the same roots after we cut them, therefore produce 6X more wood per tree, 10X faster then they would take to grow in nature. So, for each tree we plant, we save 10 in the forest!
